The Foundation Board exists solely for the benefit of the patients, professional staff and personnel of Bedford Regional Medical Center. Through funds which are raised, the Foundation contributes to the improvement of the facility, the education and updating of staff skills and the enhancement of services to the patients throughout this region.

The Foundation has several events that take place throughout the year.  Proceeds from these events help fund medical equipment that is needed at Bedford Regional Medical Center.  A special thank you to those who help make each event a success year after year. The Spring Event

The Spring Event is a dinner and auction.  The next event will take place April 4, 2008 at the Lawrence County 4H Fairgrounds.  The theme for the evening will be, A Night at the Open Sea.

Golf Outing

The Golf Outing occurs on the first Wednesday in August.  It is a 4-person scramble that takes place at Otis Park in Bedford.

The Lights of Love

The Lights of Love is an opportunity for you to honor or remember your loved ones during the holiday season.  Names submitted are displayed on a tree in the hospital front lobby.  Names are published in the January edition of the hospital employee newsletter and in the local newspaper (newspaper determines the date published).  Cost:  One light is $5 and three lights are $10.

The impact of a gift cannot truly be measured monetarily. Yet, Bedford Regional Medical Center relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations, and corporations to provide funding and in-kind resources necessary to fulfill its mission. Every gift made to the Foundation will be used in its entirety, to enhance the activities and programs of Bedford Regional Medical Center and assure optimum care of both patients and the community.
