Bradford W. Dykes, President/Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Dykes is responsible for the general management and leadership of BRMC and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of both BRMC and BRMC Foundation. He previously served as CEO of hospital and ambulatory diagnostic and treatment facilities in Indiana, Alabama and Florida, having over 25 years experience in the hospital/healthcare field. He is active with several healthcare organizations and has served as a Board member of: Indiana Hospital and Health Association, Indiana Rural Health Association, and the Hospital Licensure Council of the Indiana State Department of Health. Mr. Dykes has received a BA from Wabash College , MHA from Indiana University School of Medicine, and MBA from Murray State University . He is certified as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Charles Shetler, Vice President of Finances
Mr. Shetler is primarily responsible for information technology, health information management, corporate compliance, and all corporate financial matters, including general accounting, patient financial services, budgeting, and internal controls. A certified public accountant (CPA) and a Fellow in Healthcare Financial Management (FHFMA), Mr. Shetler has more than 30 years experience as a hospital CFO, working in both non-profit and for-profit hospitals. Mr. Shetler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Florida State University .
Cindy Smale, Vice President of Human Resources and Development
Ms. Smale is responsible for the management of Human Resources, Marketing, and Occupational Health Departments. She has nine years of experience in the Human Resource field. Ms. Smale holds a B.S. in Human Resource Management and a M.S. in Management from Oakland City University . Besides working at BRMC, she is an adjunct instructor at Oakland City University Bedford campus. Ms. Smale's hobbies include decorating, gardening, and antiques. Her favorite movie is Second Hand Lions. Her favorite books to read are about the Amish lifestyle. Her favorite music is pop Christian.
Brenda Davis, Vice President of Patient Services
Ms. Davis graduated from IVY Tech Practical Nursing Program in 1974, Marian College in 1984 with ASN, University of Southern Indiana with a BSN in 2004. She has been Certified as a Critical Care RN (CCRN) since 1985. Ms. Davis began her employment at BRMC in 1974. She has worked in the Education Department, Med-Surg Unit, and Intensive Care Unit. She has been the VP of Patient Services since 2000.
Kathy A. Lewis, RN, MS, Director of Education, Quality and Compliance
Mrs. Lewis serves as Director of the Education, Quality and Compliance Departments. She heads the Quality Council and serves on the Utilization Review, Environment of Care, Infection Control, Ethics, Pharmacy, Executive Nursing, and Disaster Committees. Her responsibilities include general new employee orientation and yearly staff education program, new nurse orientation and yearly nursing staff competency days, and the monitoring and compliance of the Indiana State Board of Health, Joint Commission and CMS hospital rules and regulations. Mrs. Lewis has 30 years of experience as a nurse with 10 of those years also being involved in quality programming and education. Mrs. Lewis holds an Associate's Degree in Nursing and a Master's Degree in Health Sciences Education from Indiana University .
Tina McCormick, Director of Public Relations and Marketing
Mrs. McCormick is responsible for public relations and marketing at BRMC. She has been at BRMC since 2000. She serves as a member of the hospital's Foundation board. Mrs. McCormick holds a Bachelor of General Studies from Indiana University, a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Advertising from the University of Southern Indiana and a Master of Business Administration from Baker College in Michigan. She has served as an adjunct instructor for USI (Evansville), Ivy Tech Community College (Bloomington) and the University of Phoenix. Mrs. McCormick is a member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development, a society of the American Hospital Association.
