BRMC's Rehabilitation Department assists people with hip replacement, stroke, shoulder strain, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, slurred speech or wrist sprain.
Physical Therapists & Physical Therapy Assistants
- Combine specialized exercise and massage techniques to help relief muscle and joint pain
- Help people regain their strength, balance, mobility and endurance after an illness, injury or surgery
- Work closely with your Orthopedic Doctor, Family Physician and Home Health Nurse
Occupational Therapists & Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
- Involved in pain management and recovery from effects of illness or injury
- Specialize in restoring function necessary to complete day to day tasks such as bathing, dressing, homemaking and work related skills
- Work closely with your physician, employer and school personnel
Speech-Language Pathologists
- Specialize in management of communication and swallowing disorders which may be due to a stroke, head injury, or developmental delays in children
- Work closely with your neurologist, family physician, dietitian, audiologist, and school personnel
